There are some people who simply define what it means to be a rock for those around them. They don’t seek the spotlight; instead, they quietly build a life centered around hard work, deep loyalty, and an fierce love for their family. Andrew Chandler of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, was exactly that kind of man.
Tragically and entirely too soon, Andrew passed away suddenly on June 13, 2026.
When an unexpected loss hits a tight-knit community like Hopkinton, the shockwave is felt by everyone. But to truly understand the depth of who Andrew was, you don’t look at statistics or formal announcements—you look at the beautiful, devastatingly raw words of the people who loved him most.
At the very center of Andrew’s world was his family. He wasn’t just a husband and a father; he was a fiercely protective provider and a foundational presence in his home. Andrew leaves behind his wife, Erin, and their four beautiful children: Colton, Luna, Nova, and Cora.

Those who knew him best describe him as a man who simply “showed up.” In a world where life can get busy and distracted, Andrew was the kind of person who made sure the people he cared about knew they were supported. Whether it was through his hard work to provide for his big family or the quiet moments spent at home with his kids, his love was active, constant, and undeniable.
The suddenness of Andrew’s passing has left a void that his friends and family are struggling to comprehend. Mikayla Julian, a lifelong friend of Andrew’s wife, Erin, shared a heartbreaking reflection that speaks for so many in their circle:
“Andrew was an incredible husband, father, provider, and friend. He loved his family deeply, and his loss leaves behind a void that can never be filled… Watching a lifelong friend face such a devastating and unexpected loss is heartbreaking beyond words.”
When a tragedy like this strikes, the emotional weight is heavy enough. But the practical reality of navigating life after an unexpected loss brings financial burdens that a grieving family shouldn’t have to carry alone.
With the blessing of Erin’s family, a GoFundMe fundraiser has been established by Mikayla to help surround Erin and the four children with stability. The funds are being raised to go directly toward funeral expenses, household needs, and giving the Chandler family the financial breathing room they need to focus on healing, taking life just one day at a time.
As Mikayla beautifully put it, “Anyone who has experienced loss knows that the challenges don’t end after the services are over.” The goal of the community right now is to ensure that as Erin focuses on Colton, Luna, Nova, and Cora, bills and financial stress are the very last things on her mind.
The Hopkinton community and friends from all over are wrapping their arms around Erin and the kids. No amount of words or support can lessen the heartbreak of losing a man like Andrew, but the collective outpouring of prayers, donations, and shared memories stands as a testament to the impact he made during his time with us.
Andrew Chandler’s legacy lives on in the eyes of his four children and the enduring love of his wife. He taught those around him what it means to love fiercely and protect deeply—a lesson Hopkinton won’t soon forget.
Our deepest thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the Chandler and Julian families, and everyone who is feeling this profound loss.
